One of our favourite baby-led weaning recipes

Hello Reader,

We're coming in this week with a fun recipe for you, and some of you might already be familiar with it!

It's our Spiced Sweet Potato Lentil Fritters--a fun baby led weaning recipe you can offer your baby right at 6 months, or well into toddlerhood.

The first time Jessica brought these garam masala lentil fritters over to Nita's house way back in 2020, her son who was just a baby at the time absolutely loved them. We immediately knew they needed a place in our ebook, Whole Food Recipes for Your Baby, and they’ve since become a favourite in the Happy Healthy Eaters community too.

These fritters are soft, flavourful, and packed with nourishing ingredients like lentils and sweet potato. They offer up some iron and are easy to batch prep and freeze for busy weeks.

We also love that they introduce babies and toddlers to warm spices and flavourful foods early on using ingredients we genuinely cook with in our own homes.

As always, you're our WHY. If you get around to making this recipe, let us know how it goes and leave a review.

Enjoy the tail end of spring as we gear up for a fun-filled summer.

In health and happiness,

P.S. There are 24 more delicious recipes in our ebook, Whole Food Recipes for Your Baby - it's only $16CAD/$12USD (which is less than two lattes at Starbucks 😜 and a great way to support us)

Hello Reader, We hope you're soaking up a little sunshine wherever you are. ☀️ Summer has been wonderfully full over here. We've been squeezing in lots of backyard dinners, finding new ways to stay cool, and making homemade ice cream with our kids (equal parts fun and messy 😅). Speaking of messy... One of the biggest questions we hear from parents starting solids is: "Am I doing this right?" We just published a brand new blog post called Dos and Don'ts When Feeding Solids, where we walk...

Hello friend! My kids (Jess here!) have never been the most adventurous eaters, but there are a few foods I relied on HEAVILY when they were toddlers, which allowed me to get creative and amp up their nutrition. Which is one of the reasons we decided to write a Smoothie and Pop E-book! We wanted to give you guys the tools that we've relied on...
