Joyful. Exhausting. Both can be true this season.

Oh well hello Reader,

If your house has felt a little louder, a little messier, and a whole lot more festive lately… same here. 🎄

We’ve been leaning into the small moments:

  • baking with our kids just for the joy of it
  • letting the sprinkles go where they may, and
  • finding simple ways to slow down when everything feels rushed.

We'd love to hear from you, so hit *reply* and share a moment that's felt special for you!

From Nita: One thing that’s been especially meaningful for our family this year is involving our kids in donating food for local hampers. It’s been a gentle, age‑appropriate way to talk about empathy, kindness, and helping others — lessons that matter just as much as what’s on the plate.

From Jess: Each day this month, we've been opening up a new day on the virtual Mission Aviation Fellowship advent calendar. It's been a great way to anchor us this season in humility as we have so many blessings to be thankful for already and it can be easy to get caught up in the "more" of the holidays.

Of course, we're also making time for some fun traditions like cookie decorating!

Before we sign off...we want to pause and say thank you.

Thank you for being here. For reading, learning, trying our recipes with your little ones, and trusting us to walk alongside you in this season of parenting.

We remember what it was like to have a baby or toddler during the holidays — and how two truths can exist at the same time. You might feel excited, wanting to soak it all in, create memories, and be part of the magic… and also feel moments of isolation, exhaustion, and burnout.

If that’s you right now, please know you’re not alone — and you’re doing an incredible job.

As we head into the holidays, we’re sending you so much warmth, rest where you can find it. Wishing you and your family a joyful holiday season.

In healthy and happiness,

P.S. Next week, we'll be back with an amazing article that we're so excited to share. It's a topic that many of you want support with, and we heard that loud and clear on our social media!

Hey Reader, Is your once-adventurous eater is suddenly refusing foods…and you’re wondering, "what happened?" You did everything “right”. You introduced a variety of foods, made mealtimes fun, and felt so proud watching your baby devour whatever you put on their plate. But then—almost overnight—things changed.
